AI1991 - Sales Executive (Shipping - Wilhelmsen)

Job Purpose:

Contribute to the overall Cargo Service budget by achieving personal budget by effectively selling all line of products available with Cargo Service.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Visiting potential clients and soliciting biz for ABK by providing proper customer service.
  • Retain existing Clients by servicing them properly.
  • Handling of enquiries and quotations.
  • Negotiation with overseas agents and customers
  • Proper correspondence with customers,agents and operational dept.
  • Maintain updated existing and potential clients list.
  • Prepare individual sales call plan on the last working day of every week for the upcoming week and follow the plan to the best of ability.
  • Submit sale call/ activity report  on the last day of the week to the CSM.
  • Keep self updated on competitors activities and industry related informations.
  • Updating competitiors information file on a regular basis.
  • Collection of customer dues related to sales acivities.
  • Order confirmations are handed over to the CS/operations with required details for cargo booking/   execution.
  • Proper hand over of Clearance Customers to operational departments
  • Offer proper assistance and guidance to Jr. Sales Staff.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
  • Local experience in a similar position
  • Ability to take initiative and responsibility
  • Good sales and communication skills
  • Knowledge of port / customs operations
  • Knowledge of local shipping market
Accountabilities:
  • Sales development (sale to existing customers, new customers, total product portfolio sales)
  • Customer satisfaction measured against targets set by WMS Marketing and Sales
  • Achieving sales target set by the organizations.
  • Learning and growth through competence development
Qualifications:

Mandatory requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Sales &Marketing in Shipping Industry with a proven record.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Effective communication and Presentation skill.
  • Positive attitude.

Additional preferences

  • Graduation in Int'l trade /Shipping /Supply chain management or in any faculty
  • Good grooming and appearance
  • Interpersonal & negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of geography, local language and tradition and the market
